Right now we have a spaghetti-code mass of redirects that changes with every release to implement http://cldr.unicode.org/stable-links-info
the CLDR charts should move off unicode.org and be hosted where anyone in the team can update them.
get rid of the complex redirect rules. Keep them as static (i.e rules that vector off to github.
The ICU has https://github.com/unicode-org/icu-docs browseable as https://unicode-org.github.io/icu-docs/ - see https://github.com/unicode-org/icu-docs/pull/9 for example on how ICU updates the docs to latest.
note that github pages ( unicode-org.github.io ) are NOT versioned unless you include multiple versions in one branch.
I think the convenience of the 'dev' 'latest' etc links is outweighed by the maintenance hassle and release delays in maintaining the 'stable' links.
