There are regional differences for Serbian between Serbia and BA in their common usage.

The two forms have some differences. For example, ijekavian uses „ije“, „je“, or just „j“ where ekavian uses „e“ as shown in the following examples:
Ekavian (Serbia): ponedeljak, sreda, pesma
Ijekavian (Bosnia and Herzegovina): ponedjeljak, srijeda, pjesma
