script to generate CLDR production zip files
Current ant scripts for creating zip files don't take into account keyboards (and others?) , and also, need to be updated to pull from cldr-staging.
(Ant is also going away with )
cldr-tools.jar is different, it’s compiled java code. To understand the requirements, What is it you want to look for, just a full repository snapshot ?
Sorry for the intrusion—was it intended to change the name of the cldr-tools file from .zip to .jar, and to discontinue providing the files with their version-independent alias names (core, keyboard, tools)?
Is there work still to be done on this for v39 or can I close it?
OK, it seems like changes for this went into the cldr-staging maint/maint-38-1 branch, so adding the 38.1 version to this.
CLDR 38.1 core / keyboards
creating a tag on cldr-staging will create core.zip and keyboards.zip
CLDR 38.1 tools release
checkout 38.1 tag..
mvn versions:set -DnewVersion=38.1.0
mvn -pl java package assembly:single -DskipTests=true
ln cldr-38.1.0-jar-with-dependencies.jar cldr-tools-38.1.jar
gpg -a --detach-sign cldr-tools-38.1.jar
now “cldr-tools-38.1.jar” and “cldr-tools-38.1.jar.asc” are ready.
