shows start for the islamic variants as either 622-7-15 or 622-7-16. These are Julian dates, but [LDML says]( ) “Era start or end dates are specified in terms of the equivalent proleptic Gregorian date (in "y-M-d" format).“
The corresponding proleptic Gregorian dates are 622-07-18 and 622-07-19.
